MENOMINEE, MI COLLECTION
In the early part of the 20th century, a young man from Menominee, MI, who signed his name as "Finn",  sent a slew of ice boat post cards to a friend  in Chicago. On many of the cards, Finn wrote detailed explanations about the great Wisconsin and Michigan yachts of the time that raced in Menominee. Some of the cards document the first Northwest Ice Association Regatta sailed at Menominee, Michigan. At the end of the 20th century, the 50 plus post cards turned up in Florida where they were purchased at an estate sale by a lady who then sold them on ebay. The cards are now back where they belong in Menominee.
